Manveer Sidhu is the founder, materials scientist, and principal researcher at Sidhu Laboratories.  Manveer’s primary area of research is electroactive polymers for advanced energy storage and harvesting devices.  Prior to the founding of the company, Manveer was employed at the Fraunhofer Institute for Ceramic Technologies and Systems (Fraunhofer IKTS) in Dresden, Germany from 2016 to 2017.   Manveer was employed as principal scientist in the Mobile Energy Storage Systems Group. 

During his time at the Fraunhofer IKTS, Manveer worked on the EMBATT Bipolar Battery Project.  The EMBATT bipolar battery design consists of a series of electrochemical cells connected in series, thus leading to low internal impedance in the cell stack, the option to use larger than normal electrode areas, and elimination of the need of excess cell connections.  Fraunhofer’s partners on the EMBATT Bipolar Battery Project included IAV GmbH and ThyssenKrupp System Engineering GmbH.  Manveer’s role in this project was to develop high performance solid-state polymer electrolytes with the hopes of transitioning the bipolar battery from liquid to solid-state.  During his time there, Manveer developed a number of novel solid- and gel-electrolytes based on a number of highly sophisticated synthesis techniques and materials.

Manveer received a B.S. in chemistry in 2014 with honors from the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) and received an M.S. in Applied Physics and Mathematics (APAM), Materials Science, and Engineering (MSAE) from Columbia University in 2016.  During his academic experience, Manveer held multiple academic honors, including being part of the Delta Epsilon Iota Honor Society.  He is currently a member of the American Chemical Society (ACS).

Karmjit S. Sidhu is the Business Development Manager at Sidhu Laboratories.


Karmjit Sidhu has over 25 years' experience in sensors product development (designing and commercializing) as well as directing business development and strategy in the advanced industrial sector at various public and private sensor companies.


At Sidhu Laboratories, Karmjit will be responsible for the commercialization of our products as well as handling investor and customer relationships.


Previously, Mr. Sidhu served as Global Director Sensor Business Development at TE Industrial Sensors Group, the $700 million industrial sensor division of TE Connectivity Ltd (NYSE:TEL). He was also Head of TE Connectivity’s oil and gas industry vertical within its worldwide Industrial Sensors and Controls unit.


Mr. Sidhu was the co-Founder and Executive Vice President of Business Development at American Sensor Technologies (“AST”), which in September 2014 was sold to TE Connectivity (NYSE: TEL) in an approximate $70 million transaction.


At AST, Mr. Sidhu led sales and marketing efforts as well as the conceptual design of new products and was responsible for all key multi-national accounts including Mercedes-Benz, ABB, General Electric, Raytheon, Chart Industries, Danaher, Schneider Electric, Emerson, British Petroleum, Chevron, Nissan, and Schlumberger, among others.


Prior to co-founding AST, he was the Chief Sensor Engineer for Measurement Specialties, Inc., and responsible for the growth of their pressure sensor business, with particular sector expertise in automotive, energy, and water quality.


Previously, he was a sensors engineer at Lucas Control Systems Products (formerly known as Schaevitz Engineering).


Mr. Sidhu is named on numerous patents relating to sensor technologies. Mr. Sidhu holds a B.S. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, an M.S. in Industrial Measurement Systems from Brunel University, England and is also a Doctoral candidate in Materials Science at New Jersey Institute of Technology.
